This is one of many drawings I created in 2005. The idea for this drawing was to spill liquid (coffee) on paper and create drawings from the spill/s. It's a pretty simple idea that yields interesting results. I used Arches Cold-Pressed Watercolor paper because it has a great texture that interacts in interesting ways with the liquid and ink. Also, This watercolor paper is actually great to draw on as well. It's strong, durable, and very accepting of almost any art material.
It only took 8 years, but I think I am ready to work on this drawing again. I plan on going back into this drawing using watercolor to add some more color. Perhaps some Reds, Greens, and Purples.
